Nordic Semiconductor Unveils nRF54L15 Ultra-Low-Power SoC

Nordic Semiconductor has announced the nRF54L15, their latest ultra-low-power wireless system-on-chip targeting battery-powered IoT applications. The device combines Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 with exceptional power efficiency.

The nRF54L15 features a 64MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, 1MB Flash, and 256KB RAM. It supports Bluetooth Direction Finding, Mesh networking, and Long Range modes, providing flexible connectivity options for various IoT use cases.

One of the key innovations is the integrated power management system, which delivers industry-leading power efficiency. The SoC consumes as little as 1.3mA during active radio transmission and less than 1µA in deep sleep mode.

Target applications include smart home devices, wearables, asset trackers, and industrial sensors. The nRF54L15 is backward compatible with Nordic’s existing nRF52 and nRF53 series, simplifying migration for existing customers.
