Espressif ESP32-C6 Supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3

Espressif Systems has introduced the ESP32-C6, their latest Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 SoC targeting smart home and IoT applications. The chip offers improved connectivity performance and enhanced security features.

The ESP32-C6 features a 32-bit RISC-V processor running at up to 160MHz, with 512KB SRAM and support for external flash memory. It supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with OFDMA and MU-MIMO capabilities, enabling more efficient use of wireless spectrum.

Bluetooth 5.3 support brings improved coexistence with Wi-Fi, better connection stability, and enhanced power efficiency. The chip also includes hardware security features such as secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, and a true random number generator.

Espressif has optimized the ESP32-C6 for low-power applications, with advanced power management features that extend battery life in battery-operated devices. The chip is compatible with Espressif’s ESP-IDF development framework.
